The expression levels of microribonucleic acid 34a (miR-34a) and miR-218 in the serum and tumor tissues of patients with cervical cancer were investigated to explore their relationship with the diagnosis of cervical cancer. Fifty patients with cervical cancer were selected, and 30 normal patients were selected as the control group. Since organic acid analysis in urine with gaschromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is a time-consuming technique, we developed a new liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-QTOF/MS) method to replace the classical analysis for diagnosis of inborn errors of metabolism (IEM). Sample preparation is simple and experimental time short. Targeted mass extraction and automatic calculation of z-scores generated profiles characteristic for the IEMs in our panel consisting of 71 biomarkers for defects in amino acids, neurotransmitters, fatty acids, purine, and pyrimidine metabolism as well as other disorders.

In this work, bimetallic core-shell rhodium@palladium nanodendrites (Rh@Pd NDs) loaded on sulfo group functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs-SOH) were combined to form Rh@Pd NDs/MWCNTs-SOH nanocomposites. And the composites were used to construct a simple and label-free electrochemical immunosensor for carcino embryonic antigen (CEA) detection using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Little consistent evidence is available for the association between the risk of nonsyndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (NSCL/P) and any of the individual genes in the folate/homocysteine metabolic pathway. This paper investigates the Hcontrol problems for uncertain linear system over networks with random communication data dropout and actuator saturation. The random data dropout process is modeled by a Bernoulli distributed white sequence with a known conditional probability distribution and the actuator saturation is confined in a convex hull by introducing a group of auxiliary matrices. By constructing a quadratic Lyapunov function, effective conditions for the state feedback-based Hcontroller and the observer-based Hcontroller are proposed in the form of non-convex matrix inequalities to take the random data dropout and actuator saturation into consideration simultaneously, and the problem of non-convex feasibility is solved by applying cone complementarity linearization (CCL) procedure.

Cytoplasmic membrane-bound connexin 43 (Cx43) proteins oligomerize into hexameric channels (hemichannels) that can sometimes dock with hemichannels on adjacent cells to form gap junctional (GJ) channels. However, the possible role of Cx43 hemichannels in sterile and infectious inflammatory diseases has not been adequately defined due to the lack of selective interventions.
